Diarrhea is icky~

I took the dogs out right after work last night in hopes to avoid the bad weather.  We made it back to the house right as the rain started (now it’s dumping snow!)…Marley is quite the scavenger and it never fails to amaze me how much food is on the sidewalk!  Really, why is it just laying there??  Last night Marley managed to snag some mystery food and gulp it down before I was able to get it from her.   I was concerned but didn’t think too much about it.  There’s not much I can do once she swallows!

We went to our scheduled therapy visit.  Marley was doing great but a bit unwilling to do some of her usual tricks since I forgot my treat bag for rewards.    However, at some point I was standing around and waiting for the rec therapist and looked down and Marley was starting to squat and poop.  I freaked out and picked her up so that I could stop her but didn’t catch her before a few little droplets of diarrhea came out.  This girl was obviously sick!  She never poops indoors unless she’s really sick!  We rushed her outside to the lawn and she had some icky and watery Diarrhea.    Guess when you gotta go you gotta go!

I left and called our therapy organization to let them know what happened.  I was seriously mortified.   They want the facility to watch the people who handled her just to be sure that things are alright.  I’m pretty sure it was just an upset tummy from her secret snack that she snagged earlier!   She didn’t have diarrhea in the night or this morning but I haven’t seen her have a movement yet either so I hope I don’t come home to a poor sick dog after work today.
