Snowy Days

I’ve been a little depressed about being so busy the last few days.  The dogs love the snow so much and I haven’t had any time to take them out to play in it.  I’m too busy and I hate it.  I feel guilty for not giving Dylan and Marley the attention they deserve.  I’m grateful for Paul who is always so willing to help but I’m absolutely fed up with being too busy to see my babies do the things they love.   I know they are still happy but it seems so unfair that lately they seem to play with Paul more than they play with me.   I hope I will have time to take them out after work and before my Sister and Brother in Law show up to get instructions for taking care of them next week while I am away.  Between the 5 things I need to do before then, I doubt there is time but maybe I will have to blow some stuff off.

I hate driving in the snow and I don’t love the cold and wetness.   I do, however, love watching the dogs have the time of their lives running in the freshly fallen snow.   By the time I get home from work it will be dark out but hopefully we can still get out for some playtime.

These are some pics from snowy playtime last year.  It seems there was so much more time when I didn’t spend my entire Saturday working.  I had time to do my errands and still play with my dogs.   I didn’t have to spend every weeknight trying to get errands run or yardwork or housework.  I did a lot of that on the weekends but it’s not happening anymore.  Maybe after the holidays things will calm down a bit.  Dylan and Marley are a priority and even though they are getting what they need from Paul, I want them to get it from me.   Maybe one day I can drop the part time job and go back to life full of playing with these wonderful dogs!

LOVE the photos of Dylan in the snow. What a handsome pup he is…

I can totally relate to what you posted !!!!!!!!!!! In fact, I was contemplating posting exactly what you posted (and maybe cutting back on hours). I am starting to feel really bad; guilty in a way. Maddie has been acting really weird - almost depressed in a way…It’s hard to explain. Neeko keeps Maddie active but it’s not the same. She isn’t with her pack leader; none of them are. I miss hanging with them so much!
Maybe you and I should play hookie one Saturday and go romp in the snow! Ok…I know that sounds so juvenile but still it’s not a bad idea - LOL

Gorgeous pictures. Dylan look like he is really enjoying the snow and that frisbe! We have that same one and Hera loves it. She says you have excellent taste in toys.

I hate the winter and sort of migrate inside a shell myself. Luckily you have sun there. I have seen the sun on one day for about 3 hours this whole month. Its brutal.

We have that same floppy flying disc. Dennis used to love it before he got bored with it. Now it’s sitting on the shelf until he forgets about it and then it will be like a new toy again!
