One Great Weekend!
We had a great time this weekend! So many pics and I don’t want to overload this blog. If you want to see the picked through set of some of the best pics you can see them on FLICKR HERE. Some of the pics from Saturday have a smudge on the lens of the camera. I’m bummed it’s made some of the pics turn out a bit cloudy.
The Friday night drive was a bit crazy! The canyon between Spanish fork and price was snowy and slow. Trucks stopped in the road and buses fishtailing to block both lanes! Oh and we saw a truck flipped upside down. I’m glad we made it to our destination in one piece but it took a bit longer than usual!
Saturday Morning was decent. We took a Hike first thing up by Temple Mountain in the San Rafael Swell.

The dogs loved it. I even caught all three of them posing for a picture! Dylan was on rocks all day!

Paul and Leon make such a good pair!

This is temple mountain!!
After a short hike we headed down to Goblin Valley. We wanted to let the dogs run free before going into the state park because we didn’t know if the dogs would be able to get any off leash time in the Goblins. It wasn’t too busy and they stayed off leash for the most part. Dylan had to be leashed here and there because he wanders a bit further and he needed to stay closer when other people and/or dogs were around. They were all such good dogs though!!

The weather was not great but it was okay for hiking in the valley. Not too hot and not too cold!

The weather was getting a bit sketchy and we were all ready for a break. We decided to take a scenic drive from one of the maps we had.
On our drive we got to see some pictographs:

We stopped to let the dogs play in the snow:

And we saw some wild horses:

We’d occasionally stop to let the dogs get out and stretch. Leon gave me this cute face to take a pic of:

We saw some cool new areas of the swell that I had never seen before. Scouted out some new cool camping spots too for the future!

We drove up to see Hondu Arch:

It started snowing badly so we drove through the snowstorm back through the swell. It was interesting to see the desert snowstorm. We made it back to Green River and it wasn’t snowing there!
Sunday Morning we got up and out to do more exploring! The dogs of course enjoyed running in the desert. They got to climb on lots of rocks!

They had to stay in the back fo the truck while we looked at maps.

Paul and Leon enjoyed exploring together!

We hiked up through Three Finger Canyon:

Marley Swam and then rolled in the dirt!

Sites of three finger canyon:

We stopped and Barbequed some lunch before heading back to Salt Lake. The dogs enjoyed climbing on more rocks:

We had a great time exploring and had some great scenic views…

There are SOO many more pics. So if you aren’t bored yet you can check out the album on FLICKR. Just Click Here.
We had a great time despite some crappy weather! I can’t wait to get out to the desert again!

That looks like so much fun! I miss camping!
